National footballer Corey Burke found himself in hot water on Thursday when he appeared before the St Catherine Parish Court on charges stemming from an incident at Ferdie Neita Park in Portmore.

Burke, along with Conroy Green, Kerron Moffat and Kavel Christie, was charged with disorderly conduct and indecent language following an alleged confrontation with police on January 25, 2026.

When the matter was called up before Senior Parish Court Judge Desiree Alleyne on February 27, Burke and Green pleaded guilty to indecent language. The disorderly conduct charge against them was withdrawn by the Crown.

Both men were fined $2,000 or five days' imprisonment.

Moffat and Christie pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to return to court on April 13, 2026, when their cases will again be mentioned.

According to allegations presented in court, the men behaved in a boisterous manner and directed indecent language at police personnel at Ferdie Neita Park. They were subsequently arrested and charged.

The quartet is being represented by attorneys-at-law Deneve Barnett and Akheme Harris.
