Four more COVID deaths

The Ministry of Health and Wellness has revealed that four more persons have died from COVID-19 on Wednesday, pushing the tally to 798.

The deceased are: an 84-year-old female from Kingston and St Andrew, a 95-year-old female from Kingston and St Andrew, a 63-year-old female from Manchester  and a 95-year-old male from Clarendon whose death was previously under investigation.

The number of new infections increased by 144 yesterday, bringing the total to 46,338 with 23,305 of them being active.

The ages of the new cases range from to one day to 95 years old.

Meanwhile, 114 more persons have recovered from COVID-19, bringing that tally  to 21,893.

Twenty one patients are critically ill and 12 are deemed moderately ill. Some 227 persons are in hospital.
